I came out of treatment with a vision and purpose in mind, to build up a unique, one of a kind brand, StArt ArtZ, along side my brother, best friend and business partner Michel Bigras . I have created a new, eye catching, energy filled style of design, "Medicreational Art"; combining meditation and creation, for this has been a therapy for me on my journey through recovery.
My business first began by selling limited prints on the streets of downtown Ottawa, Ontario, along with sharing testimonial about recovery from addiction and mental illness and what God has done in my life. By working diligently towards my goals and saving my money, I was then able to StArt investing into equipment, materials and supplies to begin expanding my brand StArt ArtZ . Once I started building my product line, I began selling my products in the well known Byward Market here in Ottawa. First year in the market I began with 100 white shirts, limited prints and a few greeting cards. After a couple of years of continuous growth, I began doing Artisan shows, and then brought my business into malls and now an amazing E-commerce Store and now also working towards a storefront!!!
OUR MISSION at StArt ArtZ, is to be able to sell an amazing, spirit filled product, while spreading hope, inspiration and encouraging others to be the best version of themselves, to never give up, but keep moving forward. Our end goal is to build a solid financial foundation to open a recovery center for those struggling with addictions and mental illness. Our vision is to provide treatment, jobs ,opportunity, purpose and spiritual mentorship, for them to understand their value and importance to this world. We wish to focus on a spiritual creative outlet, by using art therapy, music, meditation, writing, physical activity and hard work, to replace darkness with light, to replace void with fulfillment in ones own capabilities.
StArt ArtZ appropriates so much the support and response from all the men and women, of all ages, ethnic and cultural groups. Investing into StArt ArtZ is investing into a vision, a dream, a new beginning and into the life of others to StArt Again.
